Ces recherches mettent l&rsquo;accent sur la pens\u00e9e historique, le savoir autochtone et l&rsquo;engagement civique. Les \u00e9quipes ont partag\u00e9 les r\u00e9sultats de diverses \u00e9tudes, notamment un sondage men\u00e9 en 2021 aupr\u00e8s d\u2019enseignantes et d\u2019enseignants, des analyses de manuels scolaires provinciaux et territoriaux, des portraits de pratiques professionnelles et des programmes de formation pour les enseignantes et les enseignants.<\/p>\n<p>Voici les principales id\u00e9es d\u00e9gag\u00e9es par les membres du RESSC durant l\u2019activit\u00e9 :<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text content_tablet=\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> %22Citizenship is not just about picking up litter; in a democracy, it\u2019s about holding states accountable for their actions.%22 Researchers emphasized the critical role of education in helping students understand and act on this concept. While Western concepts of citizenship often emphasize debate and action, many Indigenous perspectives focus on being and listening.<\/li>\n<li>The early study results raise important questions about the relationship between Indigenous knowledges and Western concepts of citizenship. There is a need to address the diversity gap in social studies education and the research has the potential to have positive impacts as it progresses.<\/li>\n<li>Discussions fostered optimism about expanding the traditional Eurocentric view of citizenship to incorporate localized Indigenous ways of knowing and being. Dans une d\u00e9mocratie, il faut tenir les \u00c9tats responsables de leurs actions. \u00bb L\u2019\u00e9quipe de recherche a soulign\u00e9 le r\u00f4le essentiel de l&rsquo;\u00e9ducation pour aider les \u00e9l\u00e8ves \u00e0 comprendre ce concept et \u00e0 agir en cons\u00e9quence. L&rsquo;analyse des programmes scolaires des territoires a suscit\u00e9 une r\u00e9flexion sur la fa\u00e7on dont le concept de citoyennet\u00e9 trouve \u00e9cho aupr\u00e8s des \u00e9l\u00e8ves et des communaut\u00e9s autochtones. Alors que les concepts occidentaux de citoyennet\u00e9 mettent souvent l&rsquo;accent sur le d\u00e9bat et l&rsquo;action, de nombreuses perspectives autochtones se concentrent sur l&rsquo;\u00eatre et l&rsquo;\u00e9coute.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Les premiers r\u00e9sultats de l&rsquo;\u00e9tude soul\u00e8vent des questions importantes sur la relation entre le savoir autochtone et les concepts occidentaux de citoyennet\u00e9. Il est n\u00e9cessaire de combler les \u00e9carts dans l&rsquo;enseignement des \u00e9tudes sociales. La recherche a le potentiel d&rsquo;avoir un effet positif au fur et \u00e0 mesure qu&rsquo;elle progresse.<\/li>\n<li>Les discussions ont suscit\u00e9 l&rsquo;optimisme quant \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9largissement de la vision eurocentrique traditionnelle de la citoyennet\u00e9 afin d&rsquo;int\u00e9grer les modes locales de savoir et d&rsquo;\u00eatre autochtones. Les notions de citoyennet\u00e9 devraient refl\u00e9ter notre relation \u00e0 la terre et au lieu, y compris notre lien avec le monde naturel, et placer les syst\u00e8mes de connaissances traditionnels au c\u0153ur de ces notions.<\/li>\n<li>\u00c0 venir : des recommandations fond\u00e9es sur la recherche pour la refonte des programmes d&rsquo;enseignement de l&rsquo;histoire \u2013 r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir aux privil\u00e8ges et \u00e0 la positionnalit\u00e9, incorporer les dimensions \u00e9thiques de la pens\u00e9e historique, remettre en question les r\u00e9cits h\u00e9g\u00e9moniques, valoriser les modes de savoir et d&rsquo;\u00eatre autochtones et se concentrer davantage sur l&rsquo;avenir.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=\u00a0\u00bbDescription\u00a0\u00bb _builder_version=\u00a0\u00bb4.27.0&Prime; _module_preset=\u00a0\u00bbdefault\u00a0\u00bb custom_margin=\u00a0\u00bb0px||-1px||false|false\u00a0\u00bb custom_padding=\u00a0\u00bb||0px|||\u00a0\u00bb global_colors_info=\u00a0\u00bb{}\u00a0\u00bb]<\/p>\n<p>Cette AGA a fourni une multitude de pistes de r\u00e9flexion sur la fa\u00e7on dont nous pouvons mieux int\u00e9grer les diverses perspectives dans notre compr\u00e9hension de la citoyennet\u00e9 et de l&rsquo;histoire.
