Les membres de l\u2019\u00e9quipe, qui \u0153uvre \u00e0 Radio-Canada, se consacrent \u00e0 l\u2019analyse des m\u00e9canismes contribuant \u00e0 la propagation de fausses nouvelles et veillent \u00e0 mettre en lumi\u00e8re des ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes issus du web. \u00c9l\u00e9ment int\u00e9ressant pour les enseignants et leurs \u00e9l\u00e8ves, ils partagent une s\u00e9rie d\u2019ateliers<\/a> permettant de parfaire leurs comp\u00e9tences \u00e0 identifier des sources fiables, \u00e0 d\u00e9finir une fausse nouvelle, \u00e0 cerner la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 derri\u00e8re une photo, \u00e0 rep\u00e9rer les vid\u00e9os manipul\u00e9es ou encore \u00e0 s\u2019initier aux hyperturcages et \u00e0 l\u2019IA. Les ateliers invitent aussi \u00e0 prendre garde aux th\u00e9ories du complot et aux d\u00e9rives de la d\u00e9sinformation. Les ateliers permettent \u00e9galement de se pr\u00e9munir contre les faux concours et la pseudoscience ou invitent \u00e0 prendre conscience des biais qui peuvent nous affecter. Une mise \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve est \u00e9galement possible \u00e0 la fin des 11 ateliers propos\u00e9s. Bref, il s\u2019agit l\u00e0 d\u2019une ressource fort pertinente pour outiller nos jeunes et les aider dans la recherche de la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 lorsqu\u2019ils sont expos\u00e9s \u00e0 diverses informations en ligne.<\/p>\n

Les D\u00e9crypteurs<\/a> are a team of journalists who aim to combat misinformation in order to help citizens, young and old, to distinguish what is true and what is false among the information circulating on social media. The members of the team, who work at Radio-Canada, are dedicated to analyzing the mechanisms that contribute to the spread of fake news and highlighting phenomena originating on the web. They can be followed, in French, on\u00a0ICI RDI<\/a>, via TOU.TV<\/a> and through their podcast on OHdio<\/a>.<\/p>

Of note for teachers and their students, the team has developed a series of workshops<\/a> to help them to improve their skills in identifying reliable sources, defining fake news, discerning the truth behind a photo, spotting manipulated videos, and learning about hyperlinks and AI. The workshops invite people to be cautious about conspiracy theories and the dangers of misinformation. The workshops also help participants to protect themselves against fake contests and pseudoscience and raise awareness of the biases that can affect us. A test is also available at the end of the 11 workshops. In short, this is a highly relevant resource for equipping our young people to search for the truth when they are exposed to various types of information online.<\/p>
