Une nouvelle ressource publi\u00e9e par le RESSC r\u00e9pond pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment \u00e0 ces attentes. Nous sommes heureux de vous pr\u00e9senter Les femmes cor\u00e9ennes : une enqu\u00eate historique, un travail collaboratif entre le RESSC et l\u2019Acad\u00e9mie des \u00e9tudes cor\u00e9ennes. Cette exp\u00e9rience d\u2019apprentissage fond\u00e9e sur l\u2019enqu\u00eate, offerte en fran\u00e7ais et en anglais, invite les \u00e9l\u00e8ves \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir la riche histoire f\u00e9ministe de la Cor\u00e9e \u00e0 partir d\u2019une question centrale : <strong>Dans l\u2019histoire de la Cor\u00e9e, les femmes \u00e9taient-elles sujets ou actrices de leur destin?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La ressource est structur\u00e9e autour de questions compl\u00e9mentaires, de t\u00e2ches formatives et d\u2019une activit\u00e9 finale de synth\u00e8se. Les \u00e9l\u00e8ves explorent trois p\u00e9riodes cl\u00e9s \u2014 la Cor\u00e9e de Joseon, le d\u00e9but du XXe si\u00e8cle et la Cor\u00e9e contemporaine \u2014 en analysant une remarquable s\u00e9lection de sources primaires. Pour soutenir tous les apprenants et apprenantes, la ressource comprend un glossaire, des \u00e9l\u00e9ments d\u2019\u00e9tayage int\u00e9gr\u00e9s, ainsi que des structures p\u00e9dagogiques flexibles, comme des stations d\u2019apprentissage, des discussions en petits et grands groupes, des travaux collaboratifs, des organisateurs graphiques et de nombreuses occasions d\u2019expression orale, visuelle et \u00e9crite. Les \u00e9l\u00e8ves peuvent notamment :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>r\u00e9diger un po\u00e8me biographique<\/li>\n<li>utiliser une grille de visualisation pour situer la force des sources<\/li>\n<li>participer \u00e0 des d\u00e9bats ou \u00e0 des marches en galerie<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bien que nous soyons \u00e9videmment passionn\u00e9s par les sciences sociales et l\u2019histoire, cette ressource s\u2019inscrit naturellement dans plusieurs disciplines :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Fran\u00e7ais\/discipline linguistique<\/strong> : voix narrative, r\u00e9daction argumentative, analyse de textes<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00c9quit\u00e9 et justice sociale<\/strong> : genre, pouvoir, capacit\u00e9 d\u2019action et repr\u00e9sentation<\/li>\n<li><strong>G\u00e9ographie\/\u00e9tudes mondiales<\/strong> : comprendre l\u2019espace, les cultures et les connexions mondiales<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00c9ducation \u00e0 la citoyennet\u00e9<\/strong> : activisme, voix et action \u00e9clair\u00e9<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nous sommes \u00e9galement fiers que cette d\u00e9marche d\u2019enqu\u00eate ne se limite pas \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tude du pass\u00e9. Les \u00e9l\u00e8ves sont invit\u00e9s \u00e0 r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 leur propre position en tant que \u00ab sujets \u00bb ou \u00ab actrices\/acteurs \u00bb de leur destin, \u00e0 interroger des femmes de leur entourage et \u00e0 \u00e9tablir des liens entre les luttes d\u2019hier et celles d\u2019aujourd\u2019hui. A newly released resource from SSENC does exactly that. We are excited to share with you \u2018Korean Women: A Historical Inquiry\u2019, a collaboration between SSENC and the Academy of Korean Studies. This inquiry-driven learning experience, available in French and English, introduces students to the rich feminist history of Korea through its key inquiry question: <strong>In Korean History, were women subjects or actors?<\/strong><\/p><p>The resource is structured around supporting questions, formative tasks and a final culminating task. Students move through three key time periods - Joseon Korea, the early 20th century, and contemporary Korea - as they analyze a pretty terrific collection of primary sources. To support all learners, we have included a glossary and built-in scaffolding as well as flexible lesson structures such as learning stations, small and large group discussions, collaborative work, graphic organizers and many opportunities for oral, visual and written expression. Students can engage with the material through such tasks as:<\/p><ul><li>Writing a bio poem<\/li><li>Mapping forces on a visualization grid<\/li><li>Participating in debate or gallery walks<\/li><\/ul><p>And while we are obviously fans of Social Studies and History, this resource naturally extends into multiple disciplines:<\/p><ul><li><strong>English \/ Language Arts:<\/strong> narrative voice, argument writing, textual analysis<\/li><li><strong>Equity & Social Justice:<\/strong> gender, power, agency, and representation<\/li><li><strong>Geography \/ Global Studies:<\/strong> understanding place, culture, and global connections<\/li><li><strong>Civics:<\/strong> activism, voice, and informed action<\/li><\/ul><p>We are also proud that this inquiry doesn\u2019t stop at just studying the past. Students are invited to reflect on their own lives as \u201csubjects\u201d or \u201cactors\u201d, interview women in their communities and make connections between historical and contemporary struggles. These activities can also inspire or support teachers looking for resources for such events as Asian Canadian Heritage Month or International Women\u2019s Day.
