Follow up to the AGM
SSENC/RESSC held its AGM via ZOOM in September and selected the heart of our leadership, the table officers, a dynamic team representing diverse regions of Canada who work collaboratively to guide the network’s vision and initiatives. The following is our returning team for 2025-2027:
Rachel Collishaw of Ontario returns as President, providing strategic direction in advancing high-quality social studies learning for all students. She is supported by Robert Jardine of Saskatchewan and Jennifer Williams of Alberta, who serve as vice-presidents, bringing extensive classroom and leadership experience from their respective regions. Kevin Lopuck of Manitoba will continue to serve as treasurer, overseeing the financial management of the network besides contributing his expertise in curriculum development. Wendy Driscoll of Nova Scotia will maintain official records and ensure clear communication across the organization as secretary.
Together, the SSENC table officers embody the collaborative spirit of Canadian educators, working to connect teachers, develop resources, and advocate for meaningful, inclusive, and engaging social studies education nationwide. Further representatives from across the country (committee chairs, directors and associates) are introduced here.
