Amnesty International Canada is part of a global movement defending human rights through research, advocacy, and grassroots action. We work with students and educators to promote justice, equality, and solidarity — and to show that young people can be powerful agents of change.

Our Write for Rights campaign invites youth across Canada to take action for individuals whose rights are under threat. Around International Human Rights Day (December 10), students write letters, sign petitions, and speak out — helping to free prisoners of conscience and support communities facing injustice. Free classroom toolkits, videos, posters, and student-friendly case summaries make it easy for educators to bring human rights into the classroom in a meaningful and engaging way.
