Travel Opportunity
The Korean War Legacy Foundation will provide up to $1250 (USD) to offset travel costs for four Canadian teachers to attend the World Congress on the Teaching of the Korean War in the UK this summer, August 1-4, 2024. The conference fee, hotel and hospitality costs will also be covered for the selected participants.
SSENC President Rachel Collishaw will introduce the Canadian project and lessons, and then the four teachers will each give a 15-minute presentation to share their own classroom experiences with their own students in using the lessons.
SSENC will offer this travel opportunity to teachers in our network. We will select the participants based on the following criteria:

Must have used at least one of the Korean War Inquiries in its entirety with their students

Experience presenting professional learning

Involvement with SSENC or with provincial/territorial social studies associations or networks

Able to present in English
